Timber Fest "Classic Events" Summary

Axe Events
	Under Hand Chop 12" Poplar. Time starts with judge's count and ends when the block is severed. Cannot cut into foothold or place cut before judge gives the mark.
	Standing Chop 11" Poplar. Time starts at the judge's count and ends when the block is severed. Competitor can not cut into the wood until the mark.
	Axe Throw (Three Throws) 5-4-3-2-1 point count. 2 1/2 lb. head (no more than 6" bit). Thrown from 20 ft. mark, cannot cross throw line. Cannot touch axe until judge makes the call.

Sawing Events
	Single Buck Saw 18" Poplar. Allowed 1-1/2" pre-cut to set teeth. Time stops when the saw severs the block. Cannot start until the judge's count.
	Double Buck Saw 18" Poplar. Allowed 1-1/2" pre-cut to set teeth. Time stops when the saw severs the block. Cannot start until the judge's count.
	Jack & Jill Saw 18" Poplar. Allowed 1-1/2" pre-cut to set teeth. Time stops when the saw severs the block. Cannot start until the judge's count.
